Kot David Adhal Nguar
Kot David Adhal Nguar is a South Sudanese, Ph.D. Candidate in Management at the University of Rome – Tor Vergata, Italy. He is an author and a peer-reviewer of many articles and his research interest includes; development economics, public policy analysis, public management reforms and innovation management focusing on sub-Saharan Africa. He is a graduate of Master of Science in Business Administration at the University of Rome – Tor Vergata, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from Uganda Christian University, Uganda. He is currently a Research Associate at the Centre for International Education at the University of Sussex, Brighton – The United Kingdom working on the Political Economy of Education Analysis in South Sudan. Mr. Nguar is a Co-Principal Investigator on digital finance innovation at the Jameel Abdul Latif Poverty Action Laboratory (J-PAL Africa Hub) and a full MIT affiliate in the USA. Moreso, Mr. Nguar is a Local Researcher on impact evaluation of socio-economic inclusion (with Partnership for Economics Inclusion and Development Impact Evaluation) at the World Bank Group – South Sudan and a member of the PEI & DIME fellowship scheme. He has worked extensively with the UNO, INGOs, NNGOs, CSOs, CBOs and research institutes.
Lastly, I am a proponent of change and constant improvement towards good governance, social inclusion and economic empowerment to enable person/s or institution/s to be self-reliant and resilient to overcome any given situation/s. That said, I firmly believe Pursuing MESCI program will give me a podium to be innovative and think deep into how to make the World a better place to live by applying my expertise and the skills and knowledge that I’ll acquire from the MESCI program. I believe these soft skills will enable me to solve the World development challenges related to my areas of expertise and also work as a team with my like thinking colleagues to confront the development challenges as they arise and expedite the reduction of poverty, income inequality in order to enhance shared prosperity for all irrespective of the religion, gender and origin.
