OMRANI Mariem
I am Mariem OMRANI Tunisian activist and junior economist. I have recently graduated in Macroeconomics and International Finance from the School of Economics and trade Sciences of Tunisia. I have also participated in the Sixth German Arab Summer school in Law and Economics at the Institute of Law and Economics, University of Hamburg. Through the program, I have learned both theoretical concepts and empirical approaches. Upon my arrival in Italy, I was nominated by the Independent High Authority for Elections to work in the operation center in Rome to ensure the smooth running of the polling centers in Italy. I took several volunteer positions where I learned how to solve organizational problems and to adapt to multicultural settings. Last year I volunteered in Palermo with la cooperazione internazionale Sud Sud (CISS). This experience has solidified my interest in this area, and now, I would like to take on a new challenge and get a deeper understanding of contemporary development issues. For this reason, I decided to join the MESCI program!
