My name is Catherine Aguilar and I am 26 years old. I was born in Rome but I have Peruvian origins. I majored at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in the Msc in Finance and Banking after completing a bachelor degree in Business Administration at the University of Roma Tre. Last year I lived a four months Erasmus experience in the city of Bordeaux, France. At the end of my studies, the interest in finding a way to combine finance with the matters of underdeveloped countries motivated me to write an experimental thesis on the Microfinance Institutions in Peru. Recently, I worked for a short period in the Financial Management Division at IFAD, a specialized agency of the United Nations. This experience surely had motivated me even more in continuing to improve and complete the knowledge of microfinance and the instruments useful in the field of development economics and International co-operation and enrolling in the master MESCI.
