My name is Qiong Shen. I am from China. I hold a Bachelor in Urban Planning of Sun Yat-Sen University. After my five-year undergraduate education and the internship in an institute of planning and architectural design, I have worked as a planner for over a year in an A-level planning company in Shanghai. During my work I focused on regulatory plannings and comprehensive plannings on both local and regional scales, which mainly concern land use, deployment strategy, policy statement, etc. Last year I won the Erasmus Mundus scholarship and started my master of International Cooperation and Urban Development (the Mundus Urbano) in TU Darmstadt, Germany. I decided to continue my second year in Tor Vergata University. I am looking forward to gain a deeper understanding of urban issues throughout new perspectives offered by development economics.
