BOUKAKA Sedi Anne

Hi, my name is Sedi-Anne, I grew up in Martinique, a French Island in the West Indies; area known for its political and economic difficulties, not to mention the natural catastrophes that, as Caribbeans, we all have to deal with. After a Master in Finance and Accounting, I worked three years in the financial services of private companies in Italy before jumping on the opportunity to join the European Institutions through two traineeships in internal and external audit. Following these successful experiences, I knew that I wanted to pursue in that path and tackle global challenges from an insider perspective, impacting positively the lives of other as Arthur Ashe insightfully stated: “From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life”. And while I want to make a valuable difference by my contribution, I am aware of the weight of my achievements in front of the tremendously large and complex global issues and the necessity for me to strengthen my knowledge and skills in development economics and International cooperation areas. MESCI will help me achieve this goal providing me with the necessary skills to successfully address patterns of development which cause environmental, socio-economic and/or humanitarian crisis in developing countries, and hopefully in my homeland area.
