AKHTAR Muhammad Salman

My name is M. Salman Akhtar and I belong to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. I did my graduation in Business and Management Studies from Curtin University, Australia. I have been working with national and international organizations in Pakistan at ascending levels of decision-making and responsibility for the last five years. My stints with these organizations have provided me with valuable, hands-on experience of and exposure to various small and large initiatives in the field of development. Recently, I was working as Data Analyst \ Project Officer with Mott McDonalds Pakistan (a subsidiary of Mott McDonalds International, UK). The years of university education and working in development sector have been an enriching experience - both academically and professionally. I wished to follow post graduate studies, to pursue a career in international development and experience the excitement and satisfaction of being at the forefront of this vast expanding field. Reputation of high quality education standards, an extremely distinguished faculty and research facilities are the main factors which have motivated me to join the MESCI Programme at University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. I believe that this course will help me in acquiring the versatility needed to reach my full potential as a development professional in order to contribute towards the betterment of our society.
