PIZZUTI Giulia
I am from Rome where I studied Philosophy. I discussed my final thesis on Diego Rivera at “La Sapienza” University in Rome. Starting from an aesthetic point of view, I discussed the relation between art, technique and politics in Mexico during the first 60 years of the twentieth century. While studying at the university of Rome, I worked for 1 year with the Italian association UISP, managing their website and writing articles about their activities. After that I did various other jobs and projects, until I began studying photography at “Scuola Romana di Fotografia” in Rome, where I attended 1 year course in reportage. In 2009 I went to Essouira in Marocco, to make a photographic project on a women's cooperative and their activities. I decided to apply to MESCI Master because I think it can give me the instruments to analyze reality from a point of view that differs from my background knowledge. I also hope I will be able, after this master, to apply what I’ve been studying to the real problems related to development countries.
