I am from China and I hold a Bachelor degree in Land Resource Management from China University of Geosciences and a Master degree in Human Geography from Chinese Academy of Sciences. I have a strong research history in peri-urbanization, urban agriculture and migration. I worked as a research assistant in several development programmes such as "Cities Farming for the Future" funded by DGIS (the Netherlands) and IDRC (Canada), "Managing Water for the City of the Future" funded by the European Union, etc. I was also involved in consultancy work on urban strategy planning for more than ten Chinese cities.
