STANISIC Biljana
I was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I hold a degree in English Language and Literature from the Bosnia and Herz. East Sarajevo University. I have over 10 years of working experience in various international organizations: OSCE, UN, OHR (Office of the High Representative), various NGOs dealing with post-war issues in my country; most of my positions involving providing professional translation (English – Serbian and vice versa) both simultaneous and consecutive. With USAID’s Project aimed at streamlining business start-up and construction permitting processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina (focus on SME’s & creating new jobs), I was working as an Assistant to the Project’s Technical Staff obtaining practical knowledge of legislative and process changes required for such processes’ restructuring. I am interested in development economics, the analysis of market failures, poverty traps and open economy trade models as well as in the policymaking for issues facing countries in transition…. and so much more :)
