Leisure Centre

In order to keep-fit and have fun, the university provides his students with a Leisure Centre. The Centre offers numerous sports facilities, such as one football court, two tennis courts, one basket court and one volleyball court, all situated in the precinct of the Faculty of Sciences, next to building PP1 (Via della Ricerca Scientifica). The rental rates for the above mentioned courts vary. The football court can be rented for 25 €/hour, the tennis court for 5 €/hour, the basket court for 20 €/hour and the volleyball court for 20 €/hour.

The Library

Students of M. A. Programmes have free access to the «Vilfredo Pareto» Library situated on the ground floor of building B of the School of Economics. The library has 2000 mqs., of which 1600 are devoted to consultation and there are 300 study places. The library is specialized in economics, business, law and statistical-mathematics. It contains 22.000 books, 2000 periodicals,  over 300 on-line magazines, and around 800 titles relating to statistics. There are also  numerous working papers of both commercial and educational bodies and  a series of cd-rom data-bases, on floppy disk and on-line.

The Information Technology Centre

The Language Laboratory Located on the second floor of building A, the multi-media language laboratory of the School of Economics contains material in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian for the foreign students. Masters students have free access to the laboratory, which is fully equipped with cassettes, interactive cd-roms, listening materials, videos, movies in original language, dictionaries and grammar books. There is also a wide selection of magazines and newspapers in various languages.

University Canteen

The dining hall serving students of Tor Vergata is located at number 115 on Cambridge Street, near the School of Engineering Building  and the facility can be easily reached on foot from the School of Economics. The canteen is a large dining hall with televisions, a coffee shop and a douzen outdoor tables. There is also a covered area outside with a football table for students to enjoy.  The canteen is open from Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner; the portions are generous and the meals are well prepared as inexpensive. As an alternative to the traditional meal (first, second courses and a side dish) students can opt for a pizza or a sandwich, or the latest special menu from the catering service.

Qualifying students may benefit from the reduced prices of meals after registering at the CAF offices located in the building behind the dinning hall (students must present their ISEE indicator and their Italian tax code number or codice fiscale).  These offices are open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 am till 12:00 pm. Complete meal prices range from a minimum 1.55 Eur to 7.70 Eur

Coffee Shops 

There are two coffee shops available with catering meals, sandwiches, snacks and beverages located in the School of Economics , one on the lower level of Building A (Didattica) and another on the ground floor of Building B (Ricerca). They are open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm. Foreign students should keep in mind that "bar" in italian refers to the equivalent of "coffee shop"in English.

Photocopy center

Students can print materials, photocopy and get other similar services at the photocopy center "Universitalia di Onorati srl" , which is 9 minutes of walking from School of Economics Tor Vergata. The address is: Via di Passo Lombardo 421, 00100 Rome, Italy.

Basic Health Service

Tor Vergata University offers a basic health care centre available for our foreign students and those coming from other Italian regions except Lazio.

Courses in Italian Language Courses & Culture

CLICI- Center for Italian Language and culture of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata"- promotes the diffusion of Italian language and culture through cultural and educational initiaves (conferences, congresses, courses, etc.) and offers Courses in italian language and culture both to Tor Vergata students and to foreigners from all over the world.

MESCI Master students can register for FREE in these courses.

CUS Tor Vergata - Tor Vergata Sport Centre

Tor Vergata University Sport Centre offers students an opportunity to train and compete in their favorite sports. 

CUS Roma Tor Vergata is an amateur sports association for students, administrative and teaching staff, that promotes sport within the university. It enhances sport as a recognized social right, collaborates with families, institutions, school facilituies. It finances and carries out research and training projects and programs. It produces and disseminates cultural and sports publications.
