MESCI Students
Gomez Rodrigo
My name is Rodrigo Gomez, and I am from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I hold a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires and have professional experience in auditing and market research. My passion for economics lies in its ability to analyze how societies function and provide the tools to promote stability, growth, and collective welfare. I see economics as a powerful instrument for driving societal development and improving people’s lives.
Since my teenage years, I have actively sought opportunities to engage with international environments and immerse myself in diverse cultures. During my Erasmus exchange at the University of Sapienza, as well as through extensive travel, I developed a global perspective and a deep appreciation for the shared aspirations that unite us—happiness, fulfillment, and opportunity. These experiences have shaped my worldview and reinforced my belief in the importance of collaboration across cultural and ideological divides.
I am particularly convinced of the critical role sound public policies play in fostering economic development and empowering individuals to thrive. This conviction inspired me to apply for the MESCI program. I aim to deepen my understanding of how states and international organizations can design and implement transformative public policies. Through MESCI, I hope to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to make a meaningful contribution to this vital work.
