Bahati is an experienced statistician and economist with a strong emphasis on international economics. With over 8 years of professional experience at the central bank, he specializes in international trade policy, trade negotiations, and in-depth research. Bahati has authored numerous policy briefs focused on Rwanda’s external sector and has contributed to various international journals with his published works. Prior to joining the central bank, Bahati gained valuable experience in the private sector, working with international non-government organization in the agriculture field, where he was responsible for preparing data and policy reports and fostering strategic partnerships and collaborations with government officials and other stakeholders. Academically, Bahati has a strong foundation in both economic and statistical analysis, holding a Master of Science in Economics from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics from the University of Rwanda.
