Ledderucci Claudia
Claudia Ledderucci holds a PhD in Social and Political Change jointly awarded by the University of Florence and the University of Turin. Her scholarship lies at the intersection of political anthropology, political science, and critical militarization studies, with a particular focus on territories navigating formal or informal colonial situations. She specializes in qualitative research, with extensive experience in ethnographic methodologies and development anthropology.
Her doctoral research examined militarization and its social and political impacts in Mā’ohi Nui /French Polynesia, exploring how governmental policies shape and influence people’s social ecologies.
Claudia has a strong international profile, having spent over two years abroad. She completed two Erasmus programs in New Caledonia, totaling one year, and lived for another year in French Polynesia to conduct her doctoral research. Additionally, she participated in European volunteering projects in Cyprus and Slovakia, further enriching her intercultural and professional experience.
Through the MESCI program, she seeks to complement her anthropological background with the technical and economic skills needed to work in international cooperation. Her goal is to bridge her expertise with practical applications in development studies, fostering equitable and sustainable change.
Fluent in English and French, with basic knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese, Claudia is deeply committed to advancing international development, justice, and effective policy implementation.
