MESCI Students
Warinda Sharon
My name is Sharon Warinda and I’m originally from Kenya, holding a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and a Master's degree in Finance. My career trajectory encompasses both the private sector and the United Nations, having worked at IFAD and currently working at UNEP Finance Initiative. The decision to pursue a Master in Economic Development and International Cooperation (MESCI) stems from my keen interest in deepening my understanding of the financial, economic, and social dynamics within developing countries. I am particularly drawn to understanding how structures and policies can make an impact to the economy. Furthermore, my commitment to gender inclusion fuels my motivation, as I aspire to help contribute meaningfully to fostering a more equitable development. I look forward to gaining comprehensive insights through MESCI, which I believe will enhance my ability to help contribute to addressing the challenges faced by developing economies.
