Akamin Nkafu

Nkafu Akamin is a dynamic young Cameroonian interested in research for development. He holds a BSc in Business Administration a taught Masters in  Management and a  Master of Research in Agrifood and Development Economics . He has also completed PhD-level coursework in Agricultural Economics at the University of Buea.

He currently works as a Grant Search, Agricultural Research, and Training Consultant for Mission 21, an international development NGO . His first professional experience in development was as a research intern for the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, IITA, after which he worked as a research and development consultant for ACT Alliance and several local NGOs.

MESCI provides me a unique opportunity to have an in-depth understanding of economic devevelopement issues, as well as analytical skills and methods for applied research on poverty, inequality, migration, gender, enviromental, labour and trade isuues, which are day to day challenges of present-day developing communities. MESCI will enhance my ability and skills to develop better projects, properly identify, and address various developmental challenges in communities in a sustainable manner.
