CHIALASTRI CARLOTTA

After graduating from the Master of Science in European Economy and Business Law at the University of Rome Tor Vergata I enrolled to the Master MESCI. My passion for development economics came from the interest in bioeconomy, being in charge for the operations at the 19th and 20th ICABR (International Consortium on Applied Bioeconomy and Research) Conference during my academic career.

At the moment, I am working as Project Officer at Eurosupport where I am responsible for the planning and management of technical assistance projects funded by the main international donors (European Commission, WB and other international agencies) in private sector development, support to SMEs, gender empowerment, communication campaigns, EU integration process, and PA reforms.

Before this and specifically during the last months of the Master, I worked as a consultant for the Economic and Social Development Department at FAO under the Global Strategy Project where my major task was to commute Paper Based Questionnaires into Computer Based ones through SurveySolutions, a server developed by the World Bank:.

Being a MESCI graduate has played a pivotal role in my professional career since the academic value of the master is well known to the major development agencies, NGOs and companies.

Beside the technical knowledge and the analytical tools that the master provided me with, I consider the year at MESCI a major experience for my personal enrichment thanks to the amazing people from all over the world who shared that time with me.
