ELYAS MOHAMMAD

KHAN Mohammad Elyas is a development practitioner and researcher engrossed on community challenges, workforce development, social and economic empowerment of youth and women, enterprise and market systems development in last one decade. He earned master’s in development economic (MESCI) from University of Rome II, Rome, Italy; Master of Development Studies (MDS) from East West University, Bangladesh and, Master of Social Science and Bachelor of Social Science from National University of Bangladesh. After completion of masters MESCI the career path of Mr. Khan’s has been change by adding more significant value. His research focused on unprivileged community challenges, Socio-economic and sustainable development, Urban Development, climate change and biodiversity and accomplished several researches work.

He has conducted training sessions on entrepreneurship, development management and entrepreneurship and innovation in market systems development (M4P, WE), legal reform and rehabilitation and social reintegration of prisoners and their families. Mr. KHAN is a social activist and member of several civil society organizations for instance-Transparency International and TI-Bangladesh, SHUJAN, BAPA, Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), Inter Nations London & Rome Chapter. Mr. Khan has visited USA, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium, UAE, KSA and participated in several international seminar and conferences. He had been invited as an International Guest Lecture for department of Political Science and Public Administration of Central Michigan University, USA. He was conducted his one-week lectures as an International Guest Lecturer which was hold on 24-29 March 2019 at Mount Pleasant campus under the supervision of Professor Dr. David Kenneth Jesuit, Chair of the same department of CMU. Currently he is working with GIZ Bangladesh for its Rule of Law Programme specially for prisoners welfare in many aspects before that he had been worked with Winrock International, ICCO Cooperation, CARE Bangladesh, CIDA and so on.
