Tedesco Sara
Hi, I am Sara and I am from Calabria, in southern Italy. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, in 2018 I graduated in Applied Economics, a Master’s degree that allowed me to explore economic and social phenomena in an analytical way and, among them, I found particularly fascinating the one of economic growth and its determinants. From my volunteering experience in the Red Cross, a passion for the non-profit sector was born and later the ambition to work in the field of international cooperation. Consequently, after graduating I spent a year in Albania as a Civil Service Volunteer, seizing the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. Thanks to my participation in the Higher Education Course in International Cooperation offered by FOCSIV, I worked as a Project Assistant at FOCSIV, collaborating remotely in the management of projects located in Iraqi Kurdistan and then at the NGO CESVI, supporting the Area Manager in monitoring project activities in various intervention countries. I am particularly interested in deepening my knowledge of the relationship between development and the agricultural sector and the functioning of the labour market, and I aim to do so on a professional level as well. I am sure that participation in the MESCI Master’s programme will enable me to satisfy many of my curiosities and complete my education for a career in this amazing sector.
