WRIGHT Alexander
My name is Alexander Wright and I come from Sydney, Australia. I completed my Bachelors Degree in Property Economics, picking Planning as a major at the University of Technology Sydney in 2019. Within my professional experience to date, the greatest personal connection I had to my work was when engaging within sustainable development practices and social planning initiatives. My previous work has been based within Australia and spanned into research of the Asia-Pacific area, however I have a passion for and desire to branch further into international cooperation and acquire the opportunity to continue my career path into a wider range of global settings.
The beginning of this journey was commencing the International Cooperation in Urban Development (Mundus Urbano) Master's Programme at Darmstadt’s Technische Universität in Germany, at which I spent the first year of the pandemic learning about diverse cultural and social aspects which are at play in the differing urban spaces across the globe within the primary context of urban development and planning. My choice to select the MESCI programme in my second year came primarily from looking to expand upon these previous concepts and acquire new development economics knowledge in order to apply greater understanding to the problems faced within different urban settings globally and to become a part of addressing these issues within my future work.
