Alumni 2021/2022
SOLÓRZANO LOPEZ José David
My name is José David Solórzano, and I am from Nicaragua. I have a bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics and a master in Globalization and Development. After my master's studies in Antwerp, I moved to Rome at the beginning of 2021. Throughout my professional experience, I have worked in economics research with a strong focus on quantitative analysis. This includes working as a junior economist for a Nicaraguan think-thank dedicated to studying socioeconomic issues, and as a research assistant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). At these institutions, I was involved in topics related to macroeconomic analysis, poverty, and public policy, among others.
I decided to enroll in MESCI since its academic training will complement my professional background with analytical tools, as well as enhance my knowledge on several topics that I am interested in. Also, this master's represents new network opportunities for a professional career in Italy, where I recently moved.
