HAYKAL Carole

My name is Carole Haykal and I am from Lebanon. Prior to the MESCI program, I worked for two years at the International Non-Governmental Organization “Premiere Urgence Internationale” as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, where projects were implemented with the aim of bringing support to local Lebanese populations and addressing the refugee’s needs such as health, water, sanitation, food security and shelter. I also enjoy being around devoted people, therefore, I volunteered at the Lebanese Red Cross in the Emergency Medical Services department for four years as a mission leader and a rescuer in first aid and emergency operations. My experience has triggered my passion towards the humanitarian sector and it has driven me to want to make a change. Pursuing a Master’s degree in Development Economics and International Co-operation would help me build upon my academic competence by providing me a better understanding of development and international co-operation concepts and their wide-scale application in my field of work.
