I’m Veronica Amiconi and I have just started the 17th Master Mesci’s edition on my 25th birhtday, 8th october 2018. It seems to be a good luck wish. I graduated in March in Environment and Development Economics at Roma Tre University and  later I worked for 6 month in financial sector.  However I decided to come back to the field of my studies to improve my development  background and to widen my economic perspective. As a child, I grew in a double culture environment, because my father is Italian and my mother is Slovak, and I feel both this cultures deeply rooted in me. I’m a curious and open minded person, I like to know people from different parts of the world and hear their stories to understand their culture. Moreover, I think that empathy  can be a way to better our world. It can seem to be quite idealistic, but, as Mandela said, a winner is a dreamer who has never surrendered.
