Alumni 2017/2018

SALAMEH Sofeen Mousa Ahmad

Hi! I’m Sophiene Salameh, born and raised in Amman, Jordan. I graduated with a bachelor of Science in Architecture from the German Jordanian University in 2013. In 2016 I joined a two-year Master of Science in International Cooperation in Urban Development at TU Darmstadt, Germany, I'm currently attending MESCI as part of the master program. During my bachelor studies, I had the chance to do an exchange year in Germany throughout which I attended a semester at Hochschule Biberach, and completed a six-month internship at an Architecture and Urban planning office in Munich. After receiving my bachelor degree I worked at a contracting company for three years, gaining a lot of experience in project management and implementation. However, I always believed that there is more to life than what I was doing, that is why I spent most of free my time working closely with local NGOs and grassroots on several development and slum upgrading projects in Jordan. I took part in the information and data collection needed for the production of the publication Mapping Jabal Al-Natheef. I believe that MESCI will enrich my diverse architectural, urban planning and project management skills. It will add the missing piece to the puzzle complementing what would be a comprehensive view of development in its various aspects. I have a passion for what I do and is always ready to take on new challenges and explore new realms.
