My name is Carlos Manuel Estévez. I have a Bachelor degree in Anthropology and a postgraduate study in Economics from Los Andes University in Bogotá. Formerly, I conducted sociocultural research on economic and livelihood issues of contemporary aboriginal societies in Colombia. Afterwards, I got interested in urban and regional development, as I worked in an urban renewal project in Bogotá and conducted an economic cost-benefit analysis about it. I also have experience on resettlement processes and social management consultancy. My current main interests are community development, local income generation and planning processes that seek environmental and urban sustainability. Also, I joined MESCI as a part of my studies in the Master Erasmus Mundus Urbano.
