MAHOI Isata

My name is Isata Mahoi, I came from Economics and International Cooperation It is conceived with varied perceptions depending on ethnic, cultural, political and socio-economic background of the interpreter. However, what holds true of all the varied opinions is that the kind of cooperation aforementioned is beyond single notion but rather cross border and in fact global. What seem to be common of all the variation is that the focus of the cooperation is mainly development economics. As we all know, development should be man cantered and because it is man cantered, it has to be a holistic development. This has been my dream. It is also necessary to establish global partnership in order to fulfill the criteria of the 8th Millennium Development Goal (MDG) which states that we should strengthen a global partnership with other countries for sustainable development. I believe this course is very much in place to fulfill those criteria between The University of Rome, Tor Vergata and The University of Makeni in Sierra Leone, where I did my B.A. in Development Studies and the nations in the broader sense. I am motivated by the horizon that this particular sphere of learning shall span my knowledge, thinking and perception base for effectiveness and efficiency. I will expect to be shaped and be able to handle the multiplicity of economic development issues. I decided to pursue a more academic pursuits to deepen my theoretical understanding of the work that I have been engaged in my commitment and in my education in ensuring an asset to myself, my family, my community, my country and the world as a whole. By acquiring a unique set of transferable skills in the area of Development Economics and International Cooperation. As a result, I will obtain the “broad vision” required to excel in both an academic and a professional environment. A difficult aspect in my life is how to gain piecemeal knowledge based on economic development issue. This has been a very difficult problem for me. That was mainly why I choose Tor Vergata and that will help me to gain more knowledge on Development Economics and International Cooperation. Sierra Leone, in West Africa I chose to read Development.
