BORTOLATO GLISONI Antonella

I am Italian and I have been living in France for the past five years. I graduated in Oriental Studies from the University of Rome, and obtained a Master degree in Islamic Archaeology in Paris from the Sorbonne University. I lived with my family in the USA for three years, where I learned to speak English. I lived in the Middle East (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) first as a student, then as an intern at the Italian Embassy in Amman. When I decided to spent some time on my own in Syria, I had my first unexpected humanitarian experience at the madrasa dar es- salam, a school for Sudanese refugees kids where I volunteered for few months and where I could improve my Arabic. Strongly interested in the international cooperation, I have often been trying to enter the humanitarian sector, for the last few years, but the lack of specific knowledge prevents me to do so. I therefore decide to attend a master which will fulfill this gap, willing to focus on development project management. This is why I am joining MESCI this year.
